So, you want to be an investigator?
 
The your first steps start here...!
 
Southern States Paranormal Research Society is going bring new teams, solo investigators and the interested out there, a training class that will guide you down the path of becoming a paranormal investigator!
 
Classes will start on May 17th, 2008 at 9:30 PM EST/8:30 PM CST! Enrollment must be complete by April 30th. Space is limited. This class is offered free of charge and located in a safe, easy to use IRC Chat Environment !
 
The Class is approximately 1-2 months in length and will include discussions, guest speakers, special events, tests, quizzes, reports and study times and lectures. You will need to have pen and paper or a Word Processing program such as Word, Wordpad/Notepade to take class notes. You must be 18 years of age or older to attend.
 
Assigned papers will be emailed to you.

When you click the link above to enter the chat room, a new window will pop up. It will say:

Welcome to the PJirc applet.

On this page, you will see four text entry bars, and above each will be a title. The first one on the top left says: ENTER THE ROOM NAME. In this spot you will type EXACTLY the following:

The next box to the right says "ENTER YOUR NICK". Erase the "Anon" already in there and type in your classroom nickname which you will recieve when you enroll. Otherwise you will enter as Anonymous.

Leave the bottom two boxes alone and then hit the " LET's CHAT" button at the bottom of the four boxes. You will then be taken to the classroom.

*missing more than three classes with an unexcused abscence will result in your removal from the class. If you are a team based group of people taking the class, then only the offending member shall be removed.
 
 
 
Do You Agree to Follow the List of Rules Below while in the classroom?:
 
1.) No Swearing
 
2.) No Harassment of Any kind. No explanation of this should be necessary.  It means any and all.
 
3.) All Enrollees Must be 18 years of age or older.
 
4.) All Assignments must be completed by the assigned time, no late work will be accepted.
 
5.) If you miss a day, then you will be required to either stay over or schedule a new date on which to catch up with the rest of the class. This is YOUR responsiblity.
 
6.) There is NO certification for this class. There is no such thing and this class does NOT offer it. A certificate of recognition of completion will be given out at the completion of the class.
 
7.) If a staff member asks you to do something, such as follow a rule, or cease a behavior, then you will only have that one chance to do so. If you do not, you will loose Voiced Status in the room for 20 minutes and be unable to speak/type. If you continue to break the rules after this, you will be ejected from the class for the remainder of the class that day.
 
8.) Tardiness is NOT acceptable. If you are late, the room will be locked down and you will not be able to enter it without contacting a teacher/staff member and requesting to be let in. You are allowed four tardys before action is taken.
 
9.) Cheating by copying from a site or source is not allowed and will be checked for on assignments. Do your own work otherwise the class is pointless.
