Private Residence Investigation, Big Stone Gap, VA.
Date: 10/25/2006
SSPRS was asked to investigate a local home for sale by a realty company, who's identity
was agreed to be kept silent. As always, SSPRS will never breech a contract of confedentiality.
This house, which grand and large in scale was built by a prominent local business
man who was deeply in love with a woman. In fact, the house was built for her.
The two were deeply in love and soon the house was completed.
After the completion, the couple had a monumental falling out, and split up. The
man never lived in the house, and died on the operating table of a massive myocardial infarction shortly after the dispute.
The woman ran screaming from the house one night and reportedly yelled, " I cannot
live there as long as HE is haunting it!" . She left all of her belongings and refused to re-enter the property. After her
belongings were removed for her, the house sat empty for years but no one could make it a home.
In 2006, the house was renovated and was going to be placed back on the market. To
help investigate the claim that the house was haunted, the realty company learned of SSPRS and called us in to investigate.
We captured several EVPS and photos, which can be viewed or listened to on this site.
Below are the photos. Please see the EVP page for the recordings. If you come across
anything we have missed or think you have an answer for the results we captured, please let us know at a_milhorn@ssprstn.com .
We left the house with the impression that there was no paranormal activity in the
home, but the objective data showed differently and in fact, their may be genuine activity there. SSPRS was not asked to do
a clearing but will return to preform one at the new owner's request if needed.
Private Residence, Big Stone Gap, VA: Tri-Orbs
This picture was captured during an investigation of a
private residence on October 27th, 2006 by SSPRS. It was captured on a VivaCam 3715B 3.0 Megapixel digital camera.
We
are assuming that it could be lens flare, but to be safe, we are presenting it to you to make your own determination.
EMF
Readings were 0 and the temperature was 56 degrees F.
Private Residence, Big Stone Gap, VA: Possible Comet-Like Light Plasma
This photo was take directly after the above Tri-Orb photograph. It is an odd way for lens flare to manifest, and it appears
to be similar to a comet, with a pink outside and a blue core, and is vaguely bowl shaped. We are not sure what to make of
this either as it could go either way. We leave it to you to decide. It was taken with a VivaCam 3715B, and the EMF was 0
and the temperature was 56 degrees F.
Private Residence, Big Stone Gap, VA
This photo has no paranormal activity, but was placed up to merely show the scale of the house itself. The house was five
bedrooms, with a bathroom in each bedroom, two seperate baths, one upstairs and one down, three car garage, fully finished
basement with a wet bar, inground pool, and of course, this absolutely beautiful chandalier, which turns out, was real crystal
and gold. A fantastic house.
Weaver's Cemetary Redux Hunt: Completed 9/28/2007
Below are some of the photos we at SSPRS took the night of 9/28/07 on our re-investigation
of Weaver's Cemetary in Bluff City, TN. We have an ongoing relationship with the caretaker and already had permission from
our first investigation in 2004, which turned out with no objective evidence.
For years, Bluff City teenages have been breaking into the cemetary at night, and
used it as a favored necking spot in which to conduct their less than wholesome activities. A few of them claimed to encounter
supernatural activity at the cemetary, which dates back to the days of the Revolutionary War.
The front gate of the cemetary holds a bronze plaque, which reads:
Weaver's Cemetary
in Honor of All of the Revolutionary War Soldiers Who Lie Buried Here.
Volunteer Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Bristol, TN 1930.
Needless to say, it is a historic site. SSPRS has seen the rumors
many times about Weaver's and we are going to put them to rest once and for all. It is the collective opinion that Weaver's
Cemetary is not haunted.
We spent several hours in the cemetary again on the 28th of September
to gauge the supposed activity on site. We took various measurements and photos, and EVP sessions. The photos revealed nothing
that stood up to the debunking and are free of anomalies. The measurements also remained flatlined and no EVPS were captured.
We also had zero personal experiences, with one exception. During the
last investigation of Weaver's, one team member felt the name of Sara Hue come her mind very strongly. After repeating it
several times, I asked her to show me the headstone the spirit was showing her.
The agent walked the team straight to it, though she could not possibly
have known the stone's location before hand as the investigation was a complete surprise to the agents after a team meeting
and the agent was not from Tennessee, nor was she familiar with it at all.
With all of this being said, we will post some of the photos of the investigation
on the 28th, and the case report as well. The photos from 2004 as well as 2007, appear to be empty of activity.
We at SSPRS see no hunt or investigation as a lost cause or a luck out,
but rather as a learning experience on which to grow and build our foundations on.
If in reviewing these photos, you come across something you feel as if
we have missed, please bring it to our attention by emailing us at : a_milhorn@ssprstn.com
Thanks!
SSPRS arrives with a few guest investigators to once again investigate Weaver's Cemetary and put the rumors to rest once
and for all.
Our guest Investigators, Candice Carver, Kendra Surcey and Jodie Carver learn some of the finer points of paranormal
research and investigation.
Yes, we have noticed the orbs and do not count them as evidence.
Co-Founder Josh "Shaggy" Arnold checks out one of the many older tombstones dating back to the late 1700s.
The tombstones in the older section of the cemetary are very artful and beautiful in their designs, many bearing inscriptions
of hope and yes, of grief.
Co-Founder's Lori Barnette and Josh "Shaggy" Arnold continue their explorations of the mysteries and fascinating aspects
of burial and tombstone design, often making the tragic discovery that many of these graves belong to children, some of whom
never made it past their first year in life.
This particular set of headstones are strange in that, traditionally, Christian burial sites always have their tombstones
facing east, so that when, according to belief, the End of Days comes, they can rise to the Sun and be assured to rise facing
Christ.
These stones do not face east, instead facing south.
Upon reading the stones closer, all three of them were confirmed to be children.
Co-Founder and Case Manager, Lori Barnette stands contemplating, feeling the cemetary for any subjective impressions
or activity.
We have noticed the orbs and once again, do not count them as evidence.
As for the white blob in the lower corner of the photo we believe it is a tombstone caught too close in the flash. However,
if you have any other theories, please email us at a_milhorn@ssprstn.com !
This is one of the stranger tombs we found.
It appears to be holding three seperate graves under a giant slab of carved marble, each with a different story and occupant's
epitath.
The middle one in particular seems to be very dark in nature and reads at the bottom, spookily, " He Rose on November
13th, 1980."
We have up until this time found no conclusive explanation for this, except that it means he rose to heaven.
The SSPRS Team and guests stand in a moment of silence, listening and watching for the rumored Black Aggie, the spirit
of a murdered witch, who is supposedly buried in the cemetary.
Her spirit is said to chase unwanted visitors out, screaming and clawing.
We found no Black Aggie, and no records of any witch buried in the cemetary.
One of the more unnerving aspects we discovered, is that many of the graves seem newly filled in.
This is most likely due to the fact that the last time we visited, many of the graves were sinking and were dangerous
to not only visitors but the graves themselves.
Yet another filled in sunken grave.
This time, most paranormal investigators would say we have a visitor, in the shape of a very large orb floating over
the dirt.
However, in seeing this we already found the explanation for the "visitor".
Dirt.
